Product details
Available in our offer, P2A class glass panes are laminated glass designed to protect against accidental penetration or mechanical damage. Although some sources describe this class as “burglar-resistant,” in practice, P2A glass does not provide effective protection against burglary. Its primary function is to increase user safety by reducing the risk of injury from glass shards.
According to the PN-EN 356:2000 standard, class P2A defines the glass resistance to penetration in a test involving three impacts with a 4.11 kg steel ball dropped from a height of 3 meters. This type of glass cracks upon impact but remains intact thanks to the PVB interlayer, which holds the fragments together and delays full penetration.
P2A class glass is used in residential buildings, public facilities, shopfronts, and architectural glazing where safety glass with limited penetration resistance is required, but actual burglary protection is not necessary.
| According to PN-EN 356:2000 | Type of test | Test description | Drop height [m] | Number of impacts | Ball weight [kg] |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
